A friend introduced me to a good book on marketing and publicity for writers, Publishing & Marketing Realities for the Emerging Author by  Christine Rose. I'll let you know how useful it is when I've finished reading it.

I will be doing a book signing at MegaCon 2012 in February and spending some time at the IFWG book table.

Just finished the mock-up of the cover for The Rebels to send to the cover artist.

Writing is rolling along smoothly on The Rebels. Nearing the end of Chapter 39.

All of the major storylines are intersecting nicely and we are reaching the heart of the story with Kali's tortured, soul-searching decisions and Adrian's frantic attempt to find her.

A friend of mine has published a short story. It sounds really good. A Little Push by Jennifer Steen.

It doesn't seem real,
this mockery of reality.
My enemy lies
eyes unseeing,
in the dust.
As red trails snake down
my chest.
The roar of a cheer,
sings in my ears
as I fall.
I'm no hero.

What I'm reading now
Now that I have a Kindle, I've been rediscovering old favorites, the first of which is Barbara Hambly. I love her Darwath series and I'm reading her Windrose trilogy now. I think Antryg and Joanna are now my favorites of hers.

I was also pleased to discover that she's releasing Further Adventures of all my favorite series, including Antryg/Joanna, in Corridor and Firemaggot.
